French firm Voltalia has confirmed plans to construct three wind farms in Brazil totalling 90MW. The company will develop the wind farms in Areia Branca and Sao Miguel do Gostoso in the Rio Grande do Norte region of Brazil, which will each have a minimum of 30MW capacity.

The subsidiary of an India wind power leader has completed installation of a 325MW Belgian offshore wind farm which has the world's largest wind turbines.

An Indian wind power group is to supply wind turbines totalling more than 26MW to France. Suzlon Group-subsidiary, REpower Systems, has concluded two contracts with ABO Wind for the supply of 13 wind turbines to the country.

Spanish turbine technology is being used to develop two major wind power projects in India which could total 430MW. Wind turbine developer Gamesa has signed two agreements for the projects which include 130MW to firm China Light & Power India (CLP India) and 100MW to Greenko Wind Project.
