Yingli said attaining the certificate bring will its experience in PV engineering to a global market

World leading Chinese PV module developer Yingli Solar has attained a certificate to enter into contracts to develop international large-scale PV projects. Yingli Solar, which is the world’s largest vertically integrated PV module manufacturer, has announced its wholly-owned subsidiary Yingli China has obtained the Certificate for Contracting Foreign Engineering Projects from governmental authority of the People's Republic of China.

The certificate formally authorises Yingli China to enter into contracts for large-scale PV engineering projects overseas. It also permits Yingli China to dispatch workers internationally in order to fulfil such contracts for PV projects.

Liansheng Miao, chairman and chief executive officer of Yingli Solar, said the certificate will allow the company to bring its PV engineering experience to a global market and drive downstream growth for the solar industry.

He said: "This certificate lays a foundation for us to pursue engineering contracts for PV plants in international markets. We look forward to bringing our experience in PV engineering to the global market, where our strong brand awareness, high quality solar products, and technical expertise will help drive the industry's downstream growth sustainably."

The news follows Yingli announcing its contribution to US PV projects in August. The company said it had delivered modules to over 30,000 PV projects in the US, South America and the Caribbean.
