A Chinese solar firm is to build a PV project in Denmark. Grace Solar in Xiamen will provide and install modules for the 1.1 MW plant. Preliminary work has already started at the site in Odense.

The plant, which is expected to have a total installed capacity of around 1.1 MW, will be located in the western industrial park of Odense county. The project will also use Grace Solar’s ground mounting system.

Jkeon, vice manager of Grace Solar BU, said: “To exploit and utilise solar energy is in line with the direction of development in the energy industry. Odense has abundant solar resources, which are suitable for building large-scale PV power stations. It is convenient to connect to the grid for this project so we can take full advantage of the 40 acre wasteland. To build a photovoltaic power station will not only promote technological progress and meet the energy demands, but can also help to protect the natural environment.”
