US materials producer agrees R&D deal with China solar firm

A US solar material producer has signed a R&D deal to help a Chinese PV firm develop its solar panel materials. Under the agreement, US firm DuPont will undertake field research on panel reliability with China's GD Solar.

A Canadian solar developer has completed installation of a 30MW rooftop PV project in Eastern China. The rooftop PV installation spans 129 buildings in Suzhou city. Developer Canadian Solar has said the PV project is "historic in its size, complexity and scale."
