A waste to energy conference taking place in Brazil this month is set to drive growth in the sector across the BRIC country. The Biomass Power and Pellets congress and exhibition, which takes place next week, is the only major conference in Brazil focused exclusively on the biomass power and waste to energy sectors.

Organisers Green Power Conferences are the market leader in renewable energy conferences. Green Power said: "The congress provides a key annual forum for understanding the intricacies of this massive, growing market and for fostering the key local business connections that will drive the biomass power sector in Brazil."

Waste to energy is seeing significant development in the BRIC countries this year. China, alone, is expected to increase its market share up to double in waste to energy by the end of 2018, according to research.

Over 200 delegates from both the local Brazilian and international biomass markets will attend the waste to energy event in Brazil to listen to two days of streamed content. This will feature the latest discussions, the newest deals and most prominent projects in the biomass and waste to energy sectors.

Among 50 plus expert speakers are key representatives of the Brazilian government and power regulatory system, including the EPE, CCEE and ONS. They will be joined by world renowned leaders in bioenergy from project developers and utilities to independent power producers, as well as forestry owners, sugar and ethanol mills, and technology innovators.

The event will take place in Sao Paulo on 7 and 8 November 2013. For more information on the event visit:
